When The Shower Drain Clogged In The Basement In San Francisco I Thought My Night Was Over

I was attempting to stand by for a date when the drain clogged in the shower.  I seized the plunger and went to work on it, thinking to myself that I probably looked like such a goon.  Here I was with soap and shampoo cascading off of me and jumping up and down with no result.  How was I going to get this fixed, finish showering and get to the other side of San Francisco in less than 3 hours?

Fortunately for me I was able to get a good plumber on the telephone who said he would be over in almost no time.  I was a bit worried that they were going to be late and I was going to miss my date, but it took them less time than they’d originally told me it was going to take.

After they got to my place they went to work on it instantly and like magic they were in and out.  They just took a tool they called a snake and fixed the difficulty.

Though the drain clogged before, I never did much to fix it and on occasion I might get a bottle of some of the liquid stuff.  The more that I used some of the cheap liquid stuff, the more the drain appeared to block.

I talked to the plumbers about the liquid stuff and they said to me that some of the liquid stuff can really cause majorProblems over a period of time.  Some older houses in San Francisco have specific kinds of pipes that are jointed together with stuff the liquid cleaners eat away, making the difficulty worse.

Thankfully I was able to get to my date in time and my plumbing Problems appear to be fixed for good.  If you’ve a drain clogged and nothing looks to be working, do not pour gallons of cleaners down the drain, just call a pro with the correct tools to fix it like sorcery.
